Gaming Standards Association Takes on New Role at Gaming Technology Summit

LAS VEGAS (March 18, 2010) – Gaming Technology Summit, the gaming industry’s leading technology conference, will be highlighted by the participation of Gaming Standards Association as presenting sponsor. The Summit, which has become the favored venue for industry professionals to discuss real-world technology challenges and solutions, is set for its eighth annual renewal on May 25-26 at Green Valley Ranch.

GSA will present an entire conference track dedicated to its topics and tools, and will also hold a two-part workshop on May 24 which is open to all GTS attendees.

An international trade association that creates benefits for gaming manufacturers, suppliers, operators and regulators, GSA has some 70 members worldwide. The organization facilitates the identification, definition, development, promotion and implementation of open standards to enable innovation, education and communication for the benefit of the entire industry.

“GSA is excited to expand our relationship with Gaming Technology Summit, the most respected and well-attended technology event in the gaming industry,” said GSA president Peter DeRaedt. “Our full schedule of conference sessions will give gaming professionals a better understanding of how GSA protocols allow unparalleled game innovation and link all systems across the entire operation. The combination is a very powerful way to keep existing players and attract new patrons.”

The GSA Workshop on May 24 includes a morning meeting of the Operators Advisory Committee. The afternoon segment will be an unbiased debate of technical innovation and the impact it has on casino operations. All GTS attendees are invited to attend both informative and thought-provoking sessions.

Gaming Technology Summit annually attracts the best in the business from around the world – hundreds of technology professionals and vendors from 31 U.S. states, five Canadian provinces, Mexico, China and Europe attended last year’s event.

Two keynote speakers have already been confirmed for GTS: Kevin DeSanctis, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Revel Entertainment; and Rich Schneider, Executive Vice President of IGT.
