Gaming Technology Summit Offers All-New Conference Program, with GSA as Presenting Sponsor

LAS VEGAS (February 16, 2010) – A fresh and exciting new conference program will be offered at the eighth annual Gaming Technology Summit, the gaming industry’s leading technology conference. Scheduled for May 25-26 at the Green Valley Ranch here, the Summit has become the favored venue for industry professionals to discuss real-world technology challenges and solutions for all segments of the gaming industry. It annually attracts the best in the business from around the world – hundreds of technology professionals and vendors from 31 U.S. states, five Canadian provinces, Mexico, China and Europe attended last year’s event.

This year, the Summit welcomes the Gaming Standards Association as presenting sponsor. GSA, which facilitates the development and implementation of open standards that pave the way for industry growth, will present an entire track of Summit conference sessions devoted to its topics and tools. In addition, on May 24, the day before the official start of the Summit, GSA will offer a special workshop that will include a look at the impact of technical innovation on the casino industry. The workshop is open to all GTS attendees.

“Gaming Technology Summit 2010 will provide an in-depth look at some of the exciting new technologies we are seeing today, those that will help casinos and casino resorts grow their business while at the same time keep an eye on the bottom line,” said Saverio R. Scheri III, Managing Director at WhiteSand Consulting, co-producer of the Summit along with BNP Media. “We also welcome the Gaming Standards Association, whose work is so critical to the gaming industry today.”

The Summit conference sessions are organized into three distinct tracks:

- Strategy sessions consider overall vision of a casino resort and how technology affects various operating departments.
- Operations sessions focus on new technology and day-to-day solutions that apply to key operating departments within a casino resort.
- GSA sessions (new for 2010) are presented in conjunction with the Gaming Standards Association, with the goal of instructing industry players on how to leverage the benefits of GSA’s Game-to-System and System-to-System protocols.

Many fresh new topics have been developed this year and they share the program with returning favorites; the complete conference agenda is available at www.gametechsummit.com.

With the proven ability of the Summit to reach leading technology professionals, vendors have a unique opportunity to reach key customers through exhibit booths and sponsorships. Any company interested in being a part of GTS should contact BNP Media’s Lesley Grashow, (203) 938-2782 or grashowl@bnpmedia.com.

The Summit is co-produced by WhiteSand Consulting, which provides strategy, operations and technology consulting services to the gaming and hospitality industries; and BNP Media Gaming Group, the leading producer of trade magazines, newsletters and trade shows serving the gaming industry around the world.
