Top 20 Most Innovative Gaming Technology Products Contest Open for Entry

LAS VEGAS (Dec. 15, 2009) – Gaming industry vendors may begin submitting entries for Casino Journal’s annual Top 20 Most Innovative Gaming Technology Products Awards contest for 2009.

Now in its 13th year, the contest is recognized as the most prestigious honor bestowed on gaming products and services.

“The industry looks forward each year to Casino Journal's Top 20 Most Innovative Gaming Technology Products Awards contest because of its credibility first and foremost. The products are judged by actual end-users and gaming professionals who are well-versed in technology, which gives making the Top 20 special meaning,” said Charles Anderer, BNP Media’s gaming group publisher.

Industry vendors are invited to submit product nominations for their newest, most creative and technologically advanced products and services introduced in 2009. Submitting an entry is easy with Casino Journal’s online process at www.TechAwards.casinojournal.com. Companies may submit a maximum of four entries. There is a $50 entry fee for each product entered.

The deadline for entry is Feb. 22.

Vendors should keep in mind that these awards are given for gaming technology. New slot game titles or game themes will not be accepted unless they specifically involve a new and innovative technology.

Always highly anticipated, the contest drew more than 70 entries last year and featured a diverse array of products and services.

A panel of judges representing a cross-section of the industry will evaluate the newest crop of entries and choose the Top 20 finalists, which will be featured in the May edition of Casino Journal.

The judges’ top three winners will be honored with platinum, gold and silver awards during the eighth annual Gaming Technology Summit, May 25-26, 2010, at Green Valley Ranch casino-resort in Las Vegas. In addition, Summit attendees also will vote during the event to select their single favorite new technology product from among the Top 20 winners in the second annual Attendee Choice Award. The Attendee Award and the top three judges’ selections will be profiled in the July edition of the magazine.
