Top 20 Most Innovative Gaming Technology Products Contest Under Way

LAS VEGAS (Jan. 7, 2009) –Casino Journal’s annual Top 20 Most Innovative Gaming Technology Products Awards contest for 2008 is under way, with the addition of a special new award and a streamlined online submission process.

Now in its 12th year, the contest is recognized as the most prestigious honor bestowed on gaming products and services. Always highly anticipated, the contest drew more than 70 entries last year and featured a diverse array of products and services.

Industry vendors are invited to submit product nominations for their newest, most creative and technologically advanced products and services. Submitting a product nomination is easier than ever as Casino Journal has instituted an online process at http://techawards.casinojournal.com/.

The deadline for entry is Feb. 23.

It is important to note that these are gaming technology awards. New slot game titles or game themes will not be accepted unless they specifically involve a new and innovative technology.

A panel of judges representing a cross-section of the industry will evaluate the newest crop of entries and choose the Top 20 finalists, which will be featured in the June edition of Casino Journal.

The judges will then select the top three products and services from among the 20 finalists, and those winners will be honored with platinum, gold and silver awards during the seventh annual Gaming Technology Summit, May 19-21, 2009, at Green Valley Ranch casino-resort in Las Vegas. The top three winners also will be highlighted in the July edition of the magazine.

The excitement over the awards will be heightened this year with the addition of a new category – the Attendee Choice Award. Gaming Technology Summit attendees will have the opportunity to vote for their single favorite new technology from among the Top 20 winners.
