Gaming Standards Update
The Gaming Standards Association, now 10 years old, is ever closer to fulfilling its strategic mandate to facilitate innovation and efficiencies on the gaming floor. As the gaming industry transitions to a server-centric future, GSA’s game-to-system (G2S) protocol is assuming center stage on the slot floor. The real-world implementation of G2S, which is a merger of GSA’s best-of-breed and SAS protocols, is already underway. G2S will allow the industry to migrate to downloadable games and other new technology, such as client/server games, Intranet and Internet environments, while still maintaining the games of today, well into the future.
