The Gaming Standards Association has
announced the release of a third-party toolkit for its System to
System (S2S) protocol. Illinois-based Digital Dynamics created its
S2SConnect, which enables gaming manufacturers to quickly add the
S2S protocol to their gaming devices and other systems.
S2S is an industry open gaming
standard that allows casino operators to connect all of their
systems together to share information with other systems such as
hospitality or POS systems.
The S2SConnect system allows
manufacturers to equip their games and peripheral technologies with
the S2S protocol easily and efficiently. S2SConnect features
synchronous and asynchronous support, client and host support,
automatic communication retries, message validation, a pluggable
network transport layer and type safety.
The Gaming Standards Association said
last year it was encouraging third-party development of toolkits,
and since that announcement, the organization said it had been
working closely with companies on test suites for GSA protocols.
“Our goal is to encourage third-party
companies to develop tool kits for our protocols to drive the speed
of implementation. We are very pleased that Digital Dynamics
answered that call. We believe that the industry will be excited
about their S2SConnect tool,” said GSA President Peter DeRaedt.
Founded in 1983, Digital Dynamics is
a software engineering firm that focuses on delivering leading-edge
technology solutions. The company has been working with the GSA for
several years and has designed several development tools and
protocol converters to facilitate compatibility with slot floors in
new markets. Digital Dynamics has also been a significant developer
of IP telephony applications.

S2SConnect tool kit is available on the company’s website,
