WMS Gaming has launched an online player
promotion to educate players on its new Monopoly Big Event game. The
promotion allows players to play the game for free from the comfort
of their own homes, allowing them to become familiar with the game’s
eligibility meter, the six communal bonuses, and the bonus
multiplier. As an added benefit, players are eligible to win one of
1,350 available prizes.
The company said it chose to offer
the game in the play-for-free online format as a way of bolstering
its support of the game in the marketplace. The company envisions
the online version will influence players’ decisions on which games
they play when visiting brick-and mortar casino properties. The
site,
www.wms.com/monopolybigevent, also lists the casinos that have
Monopoly Big Event on their gaming floors.
“While these online efforts help
casinos increase coin-in, they also build WMS’ brand and product
loyalty with players,” the company said in a release. “By allowing
users to ‘opt-in’ for future product updates, WMS is growing their
player database and taking steps to affect the performance of their
future games.”
WMS has also completely revamped its
Web site, www.wms.com.
The new site provides an engaging and informative experience for
casino operators, slot players and all key stakeholders in the
gaming market.
“The look and feel of the site
reflects WMS’ new and sophisticated corporate identity,” the company
said. “The homepage interface has been reorganized with a primary
focal point (Flash content) and three subsidiary content areas for
promoting key products, innovations, and interactive features. It
also facilitates the use of multimedia to create a more progressive,
engaging experience. The navigation has been structured to provide
multiple paths to the games section, making browsing games more
user-friendly.”
Users will now find a “hot games”
section with overviews and product images; a new players’ section
with jackpot winners and wide-area-progressive jackpot totals by
state; and details of the company’s history, relationships and
direction.
