Las Vegas-based Konami Gaming and
Phoenix-based Atronic Americas have partnered on a multi-year OEM
agreement that will allow Atronic to develop and market its new
stepper slot product, “Passion Slots” on Konami’s software and
hardware platforms.
Officials with both companies said
the agreement allows for increased exposure and marketing
opportunities of the Konami and Atronic brands.
“This agreement is the first of its
kind for Konami Gaming,” said Konami’s executive vice president and
chief operating officer Steve Sutherland in a statement. “We’re
delighted to be working with Atronic. It’s a mutually beneficial
agreement that will raise more consumer awareness and hence market
share for both companies.”
“We greatly value the partnership
with Konami Gaming,” said Michael Lauer, chief financial officer and
interim CEO for Atronic. “We’re excited about the important
stepper-product market segment, and providing our customers with a
great product.”
The new “Passion Slots” feature two
five-level linked progressives—“Treasure Hunter” and “Lady
Orleans”—as well as several stand-alone titles. The new games will
be unveiled at this year’s Global Gaming Expo, Nov. 14-16.
